Nostalgia
Multi-plate color etchings. One of a kind series
The "Ostalgie" series prints are created with multiple plates (6), a la poupe inking, and generally about 10-12 passes
through the press. Layering text with stripes and ellipses began last spring in my sketch book. Responding to a
deep sense of time, loss, nostalgia, mortality, I found that this kind of abstraction felt right. Each print take a few
hours to print. My time at Crown Point press last summer made this work possible.
