- A native of Boulder, Colorado Shawn Demarest currently lives in SE Portland,
Oregon. In 2006, after a taking hiatus from art making, she began painting and
printmaking again. Demarest paints from observation and in the studio. Her
current work explores street views - both in the city, and on the road. She is an
active member of the Portland arts community.
